Voter turnout at advance polls in Regina is up more than 30 per cent this year compared to the last civic election.
According to the City of Regina, there were 7,296 advance poll voters this year, an increase of 31.5 per cent from the 2012 municipal election. Advance polls were held from Oct. 19 to 22. The deadline for mail-in ballots is 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Regular polls open Wednesday at 9 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Regina Transit is offering free rides to and from polling stations.
