The Blind Boys of Alabama will be filling out the Regina Folk Festival lineup Sunday night.

The last-minute addition comes after the festival announced last week that Sinead O’Connor cancelled her scheduled show due to exhaustion.

With only ten days until the festival, festival CEO and Artistic Director Sandra Butel said in a press release that the Blind Boys of Alabama will be and “incredible experience” for this year’s lineup.

The Blind Boys of Alabama have won multiple Grammy awards and have made appearances on The Tonight Show, The Colbert Report, 60 Minutes, and were the subject of a 2015 PBS documentary celebrating their music.

And while ticket-holders for Sunday night can use their current tickets to see the new lineup, the Regina Folk Festival is offering a full refund for those who bought Sunday night tickets and no longer want to attend the concert.

"We want to extend our best wishes from all of us at the RFF to Sinead and her family at this difficult time," said Butel in a press release. "We will miss her but totally understand that she needs to be with her child and her family."

The Regina Folk Festival runs from August 7th to 9th in Victoria Park.
