Broad Street re-opens near downtown after 'significant' gas leak

Broad Street and 13 Avenue in Regina was blocked off for about hour on Friday moring after a gas line rupture on the 2100 block of Broad Street.
The incident started just before 8:00 a.m. According to SaskEnergy, a vehicle hit an above ground gas riser.
According to police it was a significant gas leak, witnesses tell CTV news that the smell of gas was in the air for several blocks around the scene.
Crews were able to get the leak under control just before 9:00 a.m.
Several buildings were evacuated as a result of the leak. The evacuation has since been lifted.
