The public can now keep tabs on the construction of Regina’s new football stadium online, thanks to a newly installed camera that is capturing images of the site.

The high-definition camera, installed by the City of Regina and the Saskatchewan Roughriders, takes a new photo about every 10 minutes from its perch on a nearby cellular tower.

The city says the camera software allows users to view time-lapsed video and archived photos online. Viewers can also pan and zoom to specific areas of the construction site and save and email photos.

The camera feed is available online at reginarevitalization.ca and newmosaicstadium.com.

Construction on the $278-million stadium began in June and the facility is scheduled to open in June 2017.
