Weyburn Mayoral candidate, Marcel Roy, has an interesting approach to his election campaign.

“He believes in growth, he believes in prosperity," is just one line from one of his election campaign videos. Roy hired a voice actor to impersonate Morgan Freeman and Christopher Walken. The three videos have been viewed around 30,000 times.

"This was probably the biggest and largest ways of being able to reach as many voters and inform them as much as possible about myself, my platform and what the campaign is about," Marcel Roy, Mayoral Candidate for Weyburn.

Meanwhile, David Robert Loblaw of Regina is taking his own approach to get voters to the polls by creating soft humoured election videos.

"Anything to increase knowledge of the election I think is good as long as it's light hearted and not mean spirited," said David Robert Loblaw.

Loblaw's four videos have several hundred views. He said the hardest part in making these videos is finding useable material.

"I'm surprised how little social media candidates have,” said Loblow. “Only a third have twitter, and a few have Facebook. I think a third don’t even have websites in any way, so that's where my source material is from"

Josh Morrow of Prince Albert is running for mayor and has been the spotlight of some election rumours. In an effort to defend online accusations about Morrow, he created an election video.

"Address the issues of fact versus fiction because as we all know there are so many rumour mills out there,” said Josh Morrow, Mayoral Candidate for Prince Albert. “It's not conductive or benefitting anyone when it becomes like that.”
