Construction is now complete on the Saskatchewan government's new liquor warehouse.

The $37 million building, located at Regina’s Global Transportation Hub, will be the central distribution point for all 250 liquor outlets across the province.

It will replace a 50-year-old building on Park Street that was operating at capacity. The new warehouse has more than double the capacity, and will initially move 2.5 million cases of alcohol per year.

The province says the location at the Global Transportation Hub will also make for greater efficiency.
