Regina police say the death of a woman whose body was found near the Ring Road is believed to be non-criminal.

The 76-year-old Regina woman has been identified and her family has been notified of her death, but police say her name will not be released.

Police and paramedics were called to the 1100 block of Ring Road, near the Ross Avenue exit ramp, around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday after a motorist stopped to assist the woman, who wasn’t moving.

Police are continuing to investigate, along with the Office of the Chief Coroner, to try to determine the circumstances of the woman’s death.
