The 2012 Metis Nation Saskatchewan Election Day results are in. The election included polls for both the provincial executive and regional representatives and took place across the province.
Three of the four newly elected members of the Provincial Executive hail from Saskatoon, including returning president Robert Doucette. The results show that nearly half of voters across the province chose Doucette, who won with 1,015 of the 2,905 ballots cast.
Saskatoon’s Gerald Morin and May Henderson won the vice president and secretary positions, respectively. Louis Gardiner from Ile a la Crosse was elected treasurer.
Glen Hector McCallum, Michael Bell, Darlene McKay, Penny Hurton, and Derek Langan were elected regional representatives.
