Regina police have laid drug-trafficking charges against a man and a woman.

The two suspects were arrested Thursday in the parking lot of a business in the area of Albert Street and Sixth Avenue North.

Police say they found cocaine, methamphetamine, morphine, cash, cellphones and drug paraphernalia. A baseball bat was also seized from a vehicle the man was driving.

The man sustained minor injuries during the arrest after he tried to flee from the area, police said.

The 47-year-old man and 30-year-old woman each face three charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000. Their names have not been released.

Both accused made their first court appearances Friday morning.
