Enrolment has hit a record high at the University of Regina.

The university says 13,119 students enrolled for the fall semester, up from 12,797 a year earlier.

Meanwhile, the number of first-year students has risen by 10 per cent.

The Faculty of Nursing saw the largest spike in first-year admissions, with an increase of 66 per cent.

Enrolment was also up in kinesiology and health studies and engineering and applied science.
