Fiacco appointed as delegate to 2012 London Olympics

The mayor of Regina has been appointed by the International Boxing Association to the 2012 London Olympics.

Pat Fiacco will serve as the deputy technical delegate during the games.

This is the first time a Canadian has been appointed as deputy technical delegate during an Olympic Games.

In 2004, Fiacco was appointed Canada's referee and judge to the Athens Olympics.
