A fire north of Regina has destroyed at least one farm building and several hay bales.

Firefighters were called out to the rural property on Highway 6, about 10 kilometres north of the city, Tuesday afternoon.

It appears the fire started between a garage and a shed. High winds pushed the flames away from a house and into a field.

It took fire crews and volunteers about 30 minutes to get the blaze under control.

There was no word on any injuries or what caused the fire.
