The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority has earmarked four more rural stores that will be turned over to private operators.

The operations are in Langenburg, Ituna, Ponteix and Kerrobert.

Four full-time and eight part-time SLGA employees will be affected by the conversions, but will have the option of bumping into other government-run liquor stores.

Saskatchewan already has about 190 rural franchises in places such as grocery stores, insurance agencies, convenience stores, pharmacies and other businesses.
