Four people were taken to hospital after a collision on the Trans-Canada Highway east of Regina.

A car and an SUV collided at the intersection of Highway 1 and the turnoff to Balgonie on Wednesday evening.

RCMP say two people in the car and the two occupants of the SUV were all taken to hospital, but there was no word on the extent of their injuries.

The driver of the SUV, a 48-year-old Manitoba man, has been charged with failing to yield to oncoming traffic.
