Funding has been announced for 75 new water and wastewater projects across Saskatchewan.

The federal, provincial and local funding, totalling more than $94 million, will support projects such as building new sewage treatment lagoons, upgrading sewage pumps and improving drinking water supply systems.

The federal government will contribute $45 million toward the projects, while the province will provide $25 million.

The projects announced Friday are part of a bilateral agreement signed between the governments of Canada and Saskatchewan last September.
