Highway 4 has been re-opened after a fatal collision yesterday afternoon.

An initial investigation by the RCMP has revealed that a van travelling south collided with a northbound semi tractor-trailer unit. The weather and road conditions were good at the time of the crash when it occurred approximately 21 km north of Swift Current.

The 26-year-old driver of the semi unit was treated by EMS at the scene and released.

The driver of the van, a 51-year-old man from Saskatoon, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is not being released at this time.

Both drivers were the lone occupants of the vehicle.

The RCMP are continuing to investigate the collision.
