No one was hurt after a huge tree came crashing down on top of two homes in North Central Regina on Halloween.

A relative of a woman and two-year-old boy, who were inside one of the houses at the time, said they were shook up by the scary incident, but are otherwise fine.

The second house had one man home at the time. He also wasn’t injured, and said it took him a while to realize what had happened.

No damage was reported to the interior of the houses, which are located in the 1100 block of Retallack Street.

The fire department taped off the scene as a safety precaution until the homeowners decide how best to remove the dead tree.

Environment Canada says winds gusted up to 64 kilometres an hour in Regina on Friday afternoon.
