A major marijuana grow operation has been uncovered in Saskatchewan following a joint operation by First Nations police, RCMP and the Canadian Armed Forces.

About 450 mature marijuana plants and 46 pounds of processed pot were seized Monday on Little Black Bear First Nation.

Police say they also seized a large quantity of greenhouse equipment during the operation, dubbed Operation Sabot. The annual operation targets marijuana grow-ops during the late summer and early fall.

With the assistance of the armed forces, police investigators deploy helicopters and crews across Canada in order to locate and dismantle outdoor marijuana plantations.

The investigation into the busted grow-op is ongoing. There’s no word on any arrests or charges.
