The newly re-elected chief of the Key First Nation is one of 16 people charged in an alleged prescription drug ring.
Clarence Papequash was arrested and released from custody but will be making his first court appearance on Feb. 16.
The Kamsack and Yorkton RCMP laid charges Monday after a six-month investigation. Sixteen people were arrested for trafficking drugs and they are scheduled to be in court next month.
Officers also seized five vehicles in the search and say more arrests are likely to come in the next few days.
