Residents of a street in the Lakeview area of Regina say they have been without water for several days after a water main break.

Water is still gushing into the road, and people have been collecting water from the street to use to run their toilets and boiling it to wash their dishes.

The city has not supplied a water truck, although they have opened up a grate to stop water from flooding the street.

One woman in the area told CTV News that she has a six month old baby is having a hard time keeping up with household chores without water.

Another family with multiple kids says they have been hauling water from the street to get by.

The city says the water main is being fixed, and repairs are expected to be complete by Thursday night.
