An 18-year-old Regina man has been charged in the murder of a woman whose body was found in a downtown apartment last weekend.

The victim has been identified as 46-year-old Rachel Shepherd of Regina.

Officers found Shepherd’s body after they were called to the apartment in the 2100 block of 14th Avenue early Saturday morning.

Investigators ruled the death a homicide following an autopsy.

James Dustin Woody Myers of Regina has been charged with second-degree murder. He’s scheduled to make his first court appearance Friday morning.
