Regina police have charged a man with impaired driving after a two-vehicle accident early Sunday morning.
The accident happened just after 1 a.m. at the intersection of Lewvan Drive and 1st Avenue North. Police say a black truck that was driving northbound on Lewvan drive collided with an eastbound vehicle on 1st Avenue North.
Emergency crews were called to the scene and the male driver of the eastbound vehicle was taken to Regina General Hospital with undetermined injuries.
The 28-year-old male driver of the truck was also taken to hospital with minor injuries. He was later charged with impaired driving and exceeding the legal limit.
Northbound lanes on Lewvan Drive and eastbound lanes on 1st Avenue North were diverted while crews documented the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
