A man has entered a guilty plea and is sentenced for a 2011 attempted abduction in Yorkton.

Dalin Davidson was charged with one count of forcible confinement. On March 30, 2011, he approached a woman who was walking on Laurier Drive, one block south of Broadway Street in Yorkton, and asked her for directions. He hopped out of his vehicle and allegedly forced her into the back seat at knife-point.

The woman managed to escape and phoned 9-1-1.

Davidson was arrested on November 13, 2014 and charged with forcible confinement and assault with a weapon.

The charge of assault with a weapon was dropped.

Davidson received an 18 month conditional sentence and a 2 year probation order that includes several conditions he must follow.
