A man has pleaded guilty to threatening to blow up a RCMP detachment in Yorkton.

Shayne James Trowbridge, who is 40, admitted in Yorkton provincial court to uttering threats to harm RCMP members and uttering threats to destroy an RCMP building.

He was sentenced to six months in jail, minus the 42 days he's already spent in custody.

On Jan. 14, a member of the public alerted police that threats to blow up the RCMP detachment had appeared on Facebook.
