Everyone deserves to be heard by their local government and live in a city that works for them. But lately the citizens I talk to do not feel this is the case. Recent expenditures on city projects have coincided with crackdowns on parking bylaw enforcement-in a city where cars are made necessary through the underfunding of public transit-leading many to believe this municipal government is not working for them and is not being honest.
We have another option. As your city councillor, I will push for a more fiscally responsible city to make sure your tax dollars work for you, a city with the services to accommodate the growth and diversity of all its residents; I will be reliable, accessible, and accountable. You can elect a representative that will come to you. Together we can build a city that works for you.
