Andrew Stevens, an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Business Administration at the U of R, is an accomplished university instructor and researcher with over a decade of experience with policy making, board governance, and leadership positions. A father of two, Stevens is a strong advocate for public services and infrastructure, and has a long history of community involvement. He is an active board and executive member with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and the Unemployed Workers Help Centre. Andrew is also a volunteer with the Regina Open Door Society. Andrew believes the City can do more to encourage civic engagement, including providing greater transparency when it comes to decision-making and creating forums to discuss our most challenging issues like homelessness, racism, and reconciliation. Andrew’s priorities include controlling executive compensation and water rates, improving public transit, advancing the Official Community Plan, and implementing renewable energy strategies.
