Regina police are investigating a serious assault over the weekend that left a woman in critical condition in hospital.
Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Athol Street for a report of an assault late shortly before noon Sunday.
When officers arrived, they found a seriously injured 24-year-old woman who was breathing but unresponsive. The woman was taken to hospital in critical condition.
It’s believed the assault took place sometime between late Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
Police are looking for a 20-year-old man who is known to the victim, who may have information about the incident.
