A 68-year-old man from Bethune is dead after his vehicle became submerged in a slough Wednesday night.
Emergency personnel responded at approximately 8 p.m. to a report of a vehicle in a slough west of Bethune. At the time it was not known if anyone was in the vehicle.
A rescue team from the Lumsden Fire Department extricated a man from the vehicle. He was transported to Regina General Hospital by STARS air ambulance and later died at hospital.
The name of the victim was not immediately released as family was still being notified.
Lumsden RCMP and the provincial coroner's office are investigating.
