One person was taken to hospital after a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Saturday evening.

Police were called to the intersection of Dewdney Avenue and Angus Street around 6:00 p.m. for a report of an accident. A westbound vehicle hit a pedestrian trying to cross Dewdney Avenue and left the scene without attending to the pedestrian or speaking with officers, police said in a media release. The pedestrian was taken to hospital with noteworthy but non-life threatening injuries.
