A suspicious package that was found at Government House in Regina turned out to be an empty piñata.
The item was found outside the main entrance to the building on Dewdney Avenue shortly before 8 a.m. Thursday.
RCMP conducted a risk assessment, which determined that there was no imminent threat to safety.
Police say they take such calls seriously, and they’re reminding the public to report any suspicious activities or items that appear unusual or out of place.
