Moose Jaw police will be targeting a variety of traffic violations during a spring enforcement blitz this week.

Officers will set up at various locations during the blitz, which is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday.

The two-day initiative will focus on offences such as impaired driving, speeding, failing to wear a seatbelt and using a cellphone behind the wheel.

The blitz is part of the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP), which aims to improve traffic safety in Saskatchewan.
