Residents in Lebret, Sask. are wondering why anyone would vandalize a cemetery in the community.

More than a dozen gravestones and crosses were knocked over and destroyed sometime over the Easter weekend.

"This makes me feel upset, shocked and sad," said Lisa Bourassa, who has many family members burried at the cemetery.

The cemetery is one of the oldest in southern Saskatchewan, with gravestones dating back to the mid-1800s.

Church officials and RCMP are investigating.
