The first mosquitoes infected with the West Nile virus of the year have now been found inside Regina city limits.
The city says that while the virus is present in the Queen City, it’s circulating at low levels.
More rain is expected in the next week and the city is reminding residents to cover up, use insect repellant, limit time outside around dusk and dawn, and clear any standing water on your property.
