IMPORTANT NOTE: There is a total of thirty-six (36) separate local NBA All-Star 2016 Contests (each, a “NBA All-Star Contest”) across Canada. This NBA All-Star 2016 Contest at CTV Regina (the “Contest”) is one (1) of these NBA All-Stars Contests.  In the course of each NBA All Star Contest, three (3) entrants will each be selected in accordance with its Official Rules and Regulations to: 1) receive a Prize Pack (defined below); and 2) be entered into the Cross-Canada Grand Prize Draw (defined below). Accordingly, there will be up to one hundred and eight (108) total Prize Pack winners and up to one hundred and eight (108) total entrants entered into the Cross-Canada Grand Prize Draw. For a complete list of all NBA All-Star Contests (and the corresponding local television or radio stations), please see Appendix “A”.  Limit of one (1) Prize Pack per household and one (1) Cross-Canada Grand Prize DrawEntrant (defined below) per household across all NBA All-Star 2016 Contests.  

 

1.       This Contest is sponsored by Bell Media Inc. and NBA Properties, Inc., (collectively, the “Contest Sponsors”).

 

  1. To be eligible to enter, entrant must be a legal resident of Saskatchewan and must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.Employees (and their parents, siblings and children) and persons domiciled with an employee of any of NBA Properties, Inc., the National Basketball Association (the “NBA”), NBA member teams (collectively, the “NBA Entities”), the Contest Sponsors, their respective agents, parent, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions, prize sponsors, promotional and advertising agencies and/or administrators (collectively, the “Contest Parties”) are ineligible to enter. A winner of a previous Bell Media Inc. contest within the three (3) months preceding the start of this Contest (including persons designated by such winners to take ownership of prizes) and persons domiciled with any such winner  are also ineligible to enter.

 

3.       TV METHOD OF ENTRY

 

TO ENTER – PHASE 1 CALL IN FOR THE CHANCE TO WIN A PRIZE PACK:  To enter the Contest, watch Morning Live on CTV Regina on the local cable or satellite channel in your area on: 1) December 2nd between 6:00 am and 9:00 am CST; 2) December 3rd  between 6:00 am and 9:00 am CST; and/or 3) December 4th between 6:00 am and 9:00 am CST (each, an “Announcement Period”).  During each Announcement Period, an announcement (each, an “Announcement”) will be made that will include a NBA trivia question (each, a “Trivia Question”) and that will tell viewers to call in to 1-866-715-1207 (the “Contest Line”) with the correct answer to the Trivia Question.  The third caller (an “Eligible Caller”) through on the Contest Line following an Announcement will be deemed a potential Prize Pack (defined below) winner and a potential Cross-Canada Grand Prize Draw Entrant (defined below), if he/she correctly answers the Trivia Question (as determined by the Contest Sponsors’ representative in his/her sole and absolute discretion).  Each Eligible Caller will be announced on-air and may be required to chat on-air. In the event that an entrant is outside of the local calling area, standard long distance rates as charged by such entrant’s long distance service provider will apply. 

     

  1. Should the Eligible Caller provide an incorrect answer to the Trivia Question, he or she will be disqualified and the next caller on the Contest Line shall be an Eligible Caller and shall follow the same process listed above until a potential Prize Pack winner and potential Cross-Canada Grand Prize Draw Entrant is determined, or until three (3) Eligible Entrants have incorrectly answered the Trivia Question in which case the Prize Pack will not be awarded and there will be no Cross-Canada Grand Prize Draw Entrant in relation to such Announcement.   Each Eligible Caller will be required to provide a representative of CTV Regina with his/her name, address and telephone number. If there is not a clear telephone connection between the CTV Regina representative and an Eligible Caller, such that one or each other cannot hear the other, such Eligible Caller will be disqualified, and the Contest Parties will not be liable in any way for such failed connection.  In conducting the Contest, CTV Regina and its representatives have the full and absolute discretion to disqualify any Eligible Caller who fails to respond on the phone or whose response cannot be heard, in which case such Eligible Caller will be disqualified and the Contest Parties shall have no liability or responsibility to any Eligible Caller so disqualified.  The odds of becoming an Eligible Caller will depend on the total number of individuals calling theContest Line (and correctly answering the Trivia Question) following the applicable Announcement. 

 

  1. Proof of identification must be provided upon request. In order to be declared a Prize Pack winner and a confirmed Cross-Canada Grand Prize Draw entrant (each, a “Cross-Canada Grand Prize Draw Entrant”), each Eligible Caller must first: 1) correctly answer, unaided, a time limited mathematical skill testing question administered by Bell Media Inc.; and 2) sign and return within the time stipulated by the Contest Sponsors, a full release and indemnity form stating that, among other things, he/she has read and understood these Official Rules and Regulations (“Rules”), grants all consents required, agrees to be available and to participate in publicity and/or promotions related to the Contest and/or the Contest Sponsors and/or similar matters, authorizes the Contest Sponsors to broadcast, publish, disseminate and otherwise use his/her name, city/town/village and province/territory of residence, photograph, likeness, sobriquet and voice, in connection with any promotion and/or publicity, and/or for general news, entertainment and/or information purposes at no additional compensation to the potential winner, beyond the awarding of or participation in the Prize Pack, accepts the Prize Pack as offered and releases the Contest Parties and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, governors, owners, distributors, retailers and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the Eligible Caller’s participation in this Contest and receipt and use of the Prize Pack. In the event that an Eligible Caller does not comply with all the provisions as contemplated in these Rules, Contest Sponsors shall have the right to disqualify such Eligible Caller and the Released Parties shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. 

 

  1. PHASE 2 - CROSS-CANADA GRAND PRIZE DRAW:  On February 10, 2015 at 11:00 am ET at the Bell Media office in Toronto, Ontario, one (1) Cross-Canada Grand Prize Draw Entrant will be selected as the potential Cross-Canada Grand Prize winner by random draw (the “Cross-Canada Grand Prize Draw”) from among all Cross-Canada Grand Prize Draw Entrants across all thirty-six (36) NBA All-Star 2016 Contests (for a total of up to one hundred and eight (108) Cross-Canada Grand Prize Draw Entrants).  The odds of winning the Cross-Canada Grand Prize from among the Cross-Canada Grand Prize Draw Entrantswill depend on the number of Cross-Canada Grand Prize Draw Entrants, but will be no worse than one (1) in one hundred and eight (108).  Bell Media Inc., acting reasonably, will attempt to contact the potential Cross-Canada Grand Prize winner to notify the potential Cross-Canada Grand Prize winner that he or she may have won the Cross-Canada Grand Prize by telephone within two (2) business days after the Cross-Canada Grand Prize Draw. In the event that the potential Cross-Canada Grand Prize winner cannot be contacted within two (2) business days after the Cross-Canada Grand Prize Draw, he or she will be disqualified and an alternate potential Cross-Canada Grand Prize winner may be drawn at the Contest Sponsors’ sole and absolute discretion. Proof of identification must be provided upon request. In order to be declared the Cross-Canada Grand Prize winner, the potential Cross-Canada Grand Prize winner must first: 1) correctly answer, unaided, a time limited mathematical skill testing question administered by Bell Media Inc.; and 2) sign and return within the time stipulated by the Contest Sponsors, a full release and indemnity form stating that, among other things, he/she has read and understood these Rules, grants all consents required, accepts the Cross-Canada Grand Prize as offered and releases the Released Parties from any and all liability of any kind arising out of potential Cross-Canada Grand Prize winner’s participation in this Contest and receipt and use of the Cross-Canada Grand Prize. In the event that the potential Cross-Canada Grand Prize winner  does not comply with all the provisions as contemplated in these Rules, Contest Sponsors shall have the right to disqualify such potential Cross-Canada Grand Prize winner, and draw an alternate potential Cross-Canada Grand Prize winner, and the Released Parties shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard.

 

7.       Prizes: There are three (3) prize packs (each, a “Prize Pack”) available to be won in connection with this Contest. The number of Prize Packs available to be won will decrease throughout the Contest as they are awarded in accordance with these Rules.  Each Prize Pack will include a custom NBA All-Star Black adidas jersey, NBA All-Star, Bell co-branded T-shirt, NBA All-Star, Bell co-branded Toque and an over-the-door NBA Basketball net & ball. Each Prize Pack has an approximate retail value of $165 CAD.

 

Cross-Canada Grand Prize:  There is one (1) Cross-Canada Grand Prize to be won  across all NBA All-Star 2016 Contests (the “Cross-Canada Grand Prize”). The Cross-Canada Grand Prize consists of a trip for two (2) (i.e. winner and his/her travelling companion) to Toronto, Ontario to attend the NBA All-Star 2016 events from February 12 to 14th, 2016. Trip includes: round trip economy air fare for two (2) from a major Canadian airport closest to the Cross-Canada Grand Prize winner's place of residence in Canada (hereinafter referred to as the "Departure Point");  three (3) nights accommodation (based on one (1) room, double occupancy) as chosen by the Contest Sponsors at their sole discretion; and, two (2) tickets to the following NBA All-Star 2016 events at the Air Canada Centre:

·         BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge on February 12, 2016,

·         State Farm All-Star Saturday Night on February 13, 2016, and

·         NBA All-Star 2016 on February 14, 2016.


The Cross-Canada Grand Prize winner and his/her travelling companion are solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein, including, without limitation, as applicable, taxes, fuel/currency surcharges, meals and beverages, room service, gratuities, merchandise, telephone calls, insurance, any required travel documentation, all personal expenses of any kind or nature, and any overnight layover. Departure dates and accommodation are subject to availability and change without notice or compensation. The Cross-Canada Grand Prize winner and his/her travelling companion are also solely responsible for all costs incurred to and from the Departure Point as the Cross-Canada Grand Prize originates and terminates there. It is the sole responsibility of the Cross-Canada GrandPrize winner and his/her travelling companion to obtain all necessary travel documentation including passports and visas, and to comply with any customs and immigration requirements, as applicable. The Cross-Canada GrandPrize winner and his/her travelling companion must be able to travel at the times and dates as determined by the Contest Sponsors, in their sole discretion and authority, failing which the Cross-Canada GrandPrize will be forfeited. It is recommended that the Prize winner and his/her travelling companion obtain sufficient personal insurance prior to departure. Travel dates will be determined by the Contest Sponsors at their sole discretion.   Approximate retail value of the Cross-Canada Grand Prize is $5,890.00 CAD based on a Calgary departure. In the event that the Cross-Canada Grand Prize winner resides within a 200 km radius of Toronto, Ontario, the Cross-Canada Grand Prize is deemed not to include return airfare and Contest Sponsors may provide substitute ground transportation, in their sole discretion, and no cash will be provided in lieu thereof.  No change in travel arrangements can be made by theCross-Canada GrandPrize winner once his/her booking has been confirmed. The Cross-Canada GrandPrize may not be used towards any type of frequent flyer mileage, or other reward point accumulation program.Before being able to participate in the Cross-Canada GrandPrize, the travelling companion,or if under the age of majority, the travelling companion’s parent or legal guardian, will be required to sign and return within the time stipulated by the Contest Sponsors, a full release and indemnity form stating that, among other things, he/she has read and understood these Rules, grants all consents required, agrees to be available and to participate in publicity and/or promotions related to the Contest and/or the Contest Sponsors and/or similar matters, authorizes the Contest Sponsors to broadcast, publish, disseminate and otherwise use his/her name, city/town/village and province/territory of residence, photograph, likeness, sobriquet and voice, in connection with any promotion and/or publicity, and/or for general news, entertainment and/or information purposes at no additional compensation to the travelling companion, beyond his/her participation in the Cross-Canada GrandPrize, accepts the Cross-Canada GrandPrize as offered and releases the Contest Sponsors from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the travelling companion’s participation in this Contest and receipt and use of the Cross-Canada GrandPrize.

 

  1. For greater certainty and the avoidance of any doubt, no more than: a) three (3) Prize Packs will be awarded in the course of this Contest; b) one hundred and eight (108) Prize Packs will be awarded across all NBA All-Star 2016 Contests; and c) one (1) Cross-Canada Grand Prize will be awarded across all NBA All-Star 2016 Contests.

 

  1. Collectively, the Cross-Canada Grand Prize and the Prize Packs will be referred to as the “Prizes”. The Prizes must be accepted as awarded. The Prizes may not be sold, transferred and are not convertible to cash. Contest Sponsors reserve the right to substitute any Prize in whole or in part with a prize of equal or greater value (including without limitation, but at the Contest Sponsors’ sole and absolute discretion, a cash award). Each Prize winner is solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein.  

 

  1. By entering this Contest, each entrant automatically agrees to accept, and be bound by, these Rules. All decisions of the Contest Sponsors with respect to any aspect of this Contest, including without limitation the eligibility of entrants, are final and binding on all entrants in all matters as they relate to this Contest. The Released Parties shall have no liability and will be released and held harmless from any claim, action, liability, loss, injury or damage, including, without limitation, personal injury or death to winner or any third party or damage to personal or real property due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by any reason, including the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize and/or participation in this Contest. Each entrant  agrees that the NBA Entities and their designees and assigns may use the entrant’s name, voice, city/state of residence, photos, video or film clips, and/or other visual likeness for advertising and/or trade purposes and/or for any other purpose in any media or format now or hereafter known without further compensation (financial or otherwise), permission or notification.

 

  1. The Released Parties assume no responsibility for garbled, lost, late, delayed, destroyed or misdirected calls, mail, voice messages, e-mail or any telephone network, computer errors or malfunctions. No correspondence will be entered into except with entrants requesting Rules by mail or requesting the names of the Prize winners (for which a self-addressed, postage paid envelope must be included). The Released Parties do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technicalmalfunctions, human or technical error, seeding or printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials or data that have been tampered with or altered are void. If for any reason, in the opinion of the Contest Sponsors, in their sole and absolute discretion, the Contest (or any other of the NBA All-Star 2016 Contests) is not capable of running as originally planned, or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or the proper conduct of the Contest (or any other of the NBA All-Star 2016 Contests) is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes, Contest Sponsors reserve their right to cancel, terminate, modify, amend, extend or suspend the Contest (and any other of the NBA All-Star Contests) and/or select the Cross-Canada Grand Prize winner from previously confirmed Cross-Canada Grand Prize Entrants. Contest Sponsors reserve their right to modify the Rules without materially affecting the terms and conditions hereof. The Contest Sponsors reserve their right in their sole and absolute discretion to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of the Rules or otherwise in a disruptive manner. Any attempts to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest will result in disqualification and is a violation of criminal and civil laws and, should such an attempt be made, the Contest Sponsors reserve their right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent of the law. The Released Parties  shall not be held responsible for any errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest including any damage to an entrant’s computer equipment, system, software or any combination thereof, as a result of their participation in this Contest.

 

  1. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. By entering this Contest, each entrant consents to the collection, use and distribution of his or her personal information (informationthat identifies an entrant as an individual, such as home telephone number, age and home address) by the Contest Sponsors for the purposes of implementing, administering and fulfilling this Contest. Contest Sponsors will not sell or transmit this information to third parties except for the purposes of administering this Contest. By entering the Contest, entrants consent to the manner of collection, use and disclosure of personal information as set out in Bell Media Inc.'s Privacy Policy, which is available at bellmedia.ca/about/Media_Privacy.page. Any inquiry concerning the personal information held by the Contest Sponsors should be addressed to Bell Media Inc. at 299 Queen Street West, Toronto, Ontario, M5V 2Z5.

 

  1. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest related materials, including but not limited to point of sale, television, print, radio or online advertising, the terms and conditions of the Rulesshall prevail, govern and control.

All intellectual property, including but not limited to trade-marks, trade-names, logos, designs, promotionalmaterials, web pages, source codes, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned by the Contest Sponsors and/or their affiliates. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
