After months of speculation, it appears the clothing retailer H&M will soon be coming to the Cornwall Centre in Regina. Neither the mall or the retailer have confirmed the news, but maps on the Cornwall Centre’s property management company website show a space for the clothing store on a floor plan.

What has been confirmed is that the city has issued a $5.8 million commercial building permit for a retail location in the mall, and the mall has confirmed that it is for a new-to-Regina fashion retailer for both men and women.

“There are lots of rumors around, but new retailers often like to make their own announcements,” said Cornwall Centre general manager Doug Kozak told CTV News last week. “So, in this case, this retailer wants to do their own announcement.”

The store will be two floors and will be located in the former Havik building on 11 Street. It is expected to open in 2018.

Saje and MAC Cosmetics will also be opening in the mall in April, according to the company's website.
