A new mobile MRI unit has been set up at the Regina General Hospital

Leased by the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region at a cost of nearly $50,000 dollars a month, the unit will be in place for a 10-month period. That term could possibly be extended in the future.

The arrival of the mobile unit prompted the health region to hire three new staff members. Officials say it will reduce the backlog of patients waiting for an MRI in southern Saskatchewan.
