The discount travel company NewLeaf has announced they’re ready to hit the sky in July.

Originally, the company was only flying from seven Canadian cities but they are now serving 12 cities, including Regina and Saskatoon.

Starting July 28th, NewLeaf will fly from Regina to Kelowna twice a week. Saskatoon will also have flights to Kelowna with an additional city Hamilton. These flights will be available twice a week starting July 27th.

The flights from Saskatchewan to Kelowna cost $89, while flying from Saskatoon to Hamilton costs $135.50.

The company ran into difficulty in its’ first week of operation five months ago with a federal regulatory ruling. NewLeaf said they don’t need a license because they don’t operate planes, rather sell seats on Flair Airlines’ planes, based in Kelowna, B.C.

In March, a ruling in favour of NewLeaf from the Canadian Transportation Agency allowed the company to start selling tickets again.
