A new air travel option has officially touched down in Saskatchewan.
NewLeaf Travel’s first flight to Regina arrived Thursday afternoon.
The discount air carrier offers direct non-stop flights from the Queen City to Kelowna, B.C. on Thursdays and Sundays, and twice-weekly flights from Saskatoon to Hamilton, Ont. and Kelowna.
NewLeaf CEO Jim Young says the carrier plans to offer more destinations in the future.
The airline's launch was delayed earlier this year because of a federal review of regulations for indirect air service providers.
