A new report shows 98 per cent of alarms Regina police are dispatched to turn out to be false.
The report was presented at a Board of Police Commissioners meeting Tuesday.
Police Chief Troy Hagen says while officers would welcome an end to the false alarms, they are unfortunately just part of the job.
People and businesses who have had multiple false alarms on their property could face hefty fines or even prison time.
