One person is dead and another in hospital after a single-vehicle crash northwest of Regina.

Police and emergency crews responded to the crash on Highway 11, about 10 kilometres south of Aylesbury, around 4 p.m. Monday.

RCMP say it appears a northbound truck left the roadway and skidded through the centre ditch before driving back onto the northbound shoulder.

The two people inside the vehicle – the 66-year-old male driver and a 69-year-old female passenger, both from Carry the Kettle First Nation – were transported by ambulance to hospital in Regina.

The woman was later pronounced dead. Her name hasn’t been released.

The crash remains under investigation. So far, no charges have been laid.
