One person is dead and another injured after a two-vehicle collision in southeastern Saskatchewan.

RCMP say a southbound SUV and a northbound pickup truck collided Tuesday morning on Highway 9 north of Carlyle.

The lone driver of the SUV, a 29-year-old woman, died at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The 48-year-old male driver and lone occupant of the pickup truck was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

Mounties are continuing to investigate the crash.
