One person is dead after a collision near Southey, Sask.
At 5:43 p.m. on Saturday RCMP were called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision 21 kilometres south of Southey on Highway 6 near the Township Road 20 junction.
A north bound truck collided with a southbound car, RCMP said in a news release.
One passenger, a 40-year-old woman from Cupar, Sask., was pronounced dead at the scene and the three other occupants were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Southey RCMP say the lone occupant of the other vehicle survived, but will be charged with impaired driving.
The roadway was blocked off in both directions for several hours.
The incident is still under investigation and no other information will be released at this time.
