A film production company that was founded in Regina says it has selected Langley, B.C. as the new location for its head office.

Partners in Motion says it will become part of a new national multimedia company called Shift Media Group.

The company includes Partners in Motion’s distribution arm, Harmony Entertainment, and Veria Search Media Marketing, a Saskatoon-based digital search marketing firm.

"We are thrilled to be in Langley," Ron Goetz, executive vice-president of Partners in Motion, said Tuesday in a news release.

"This is a film friendly environment. It will offer more locations for shooting, more access to talent and crews and an inviting financing regime."

Partners in Motion says it will maintain a significant presence in Saskatchewan through its commercial and corporate production subsidiary, Gyro Productions. It will be headed by Partners in Motion founder Chris Triffo, who will remain in Regina.

In June, Partners in Motion announced it would close its head office in Regina this fall. The decision came after the Saskatchewan government cut the province’s refundable film tax credit.
