Regina police are investigating after a three-vehicle collision led to multiple injuries early Sunday morning.

Police were called to the intersection of Dewdney Avenue and Fleet Street around 2:00 a.m. According to police, two vehicles were stopped at a red light eastbound on Dewdney Avenue at Fleet Street. A third vehicle was travelling eastbound on Dewdney at a high rate of speed and rear-ended the second vehicle at the light. The second vehicle was pushed into the first vehicle, causing the first vehicle to flip onto its roof, police said in a news release.

Occupants in all three vehicles were injured. Four of eight people involved in the collision were taken to hospital, including the driver of the third vehicle whose injuries were serious but non-life threatening.

Charges are pending an investigation into the collision.
