Regina police are looking for a suspect after a woman was robbed at knifepoint during a home invasion.

Police say a man forced his way into a house in the 1100 block of Athol Street on Tuesday night.

The man threatened a 73-year-old woman inside with a knife and demanded cash before fleeing on foot.

The victim wasn’t injured in the incident.

The man is described as about five-foot-ten with an average build, light-to-medium complexion and dark brown eyes. He was wearing light-coloured shorts and a tank top, and has tattoos on both arms.

While incident is similar to one that happened in the same area on July 9, police have not confirmed whether they are connected.

Police are stepping up patrols in the area and allocating additional resources in an effort to identify a suspect.
