Police are seeking information from the public as they investigate a shooting that left a 21-year-old Regina man seriously injured.

Around 8:15 p.m. Thursday, police were called after a man suffering from a gunshot wound showed up in the emergency department of a hospital.

Police say the man had been at a business in the 2900 block of Dewdney Avenue about 10 minutes earlier.

It’s believed the man was outside the business when one of the occupants of a vehicle that was parked nearby shot him, police said. The type of gun involved in the incident is not known.

The victim was treated for his injuries in hospital. Police say they have collected evidence from the victim and the business, but the suspect and their associates have not been located.
