A Regina police officer used a Taser on a man on Thursday night after he barricaded himself in a business on Victoria Avenue.
Police were called to the 1700 block of Victoria Avenue around 7:25 p.m. after a man armed with a knife came into the business and locked himself in the back office.
Officers attempted to negotiate with the man were unsuccessful. Police believe he was either having a mental health crisis or may have been high.
The man was taken into custody after an officer used a Taser on him.
He was admitted to the Regina General Hospital.
