A Saskatchewan man who was sexually assaulted by convicted pedophile Peter Whitmore a decade ago is now able to share his story.

The lawyer for Zachary Miller says the publication ban for his name has been lifted. At the age of 10, Miller was sexually assaulted by Whitmore.

Miller's lawyer says his client has never been able to open up about the event because of the publication ban.

But now, for the first time in Saskatchewan, that ban has been lifted following a successful application to Court of Queen's Bench.

In 2012, Whitmore was sentenced to life in prison for several offences, including three counts of sexual assault causing bodily harm.
