RCMP no longer consider the death of a 24-year-old woman in northeast Saskatchewan suspicious.

Police and paramedics were called to a home on the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation around 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

When they arrived, they found a woman who was unresponsive. She was declared dead at the scene.

RCMP initially considered the death suspicious. An autopsy conducted Tuesday morning, however, determined the death was not suspicious.

“The autopsy that took place this morning in Saskatoon has revealed that the death of the 24-year-old female is non-suspicious in nature,” an RCMP media release stated.

No charges will be laid.
