RCMP are investigating the sudden death of a 40-year-old man on the Kahkewistahaw First Nation.

Police were called to a home the southeastern Saskatchewan First Nation just after 1 p.m. Friday. Paramedics were at the residence when officers arrived. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police did not state Friday night if they consider the death suspicious. An autopsy is scheduled for some time this coming week.

The man’s family has since been notified but did not give police permission to release his name.

The Kahkewistahaw First Nation is located north of Broadview, Sask.
